Laying a few kilo meters east of the main town is a montage forest called Galway’s land. This little patch of land is famous for its bird life, which includes 10 Sri Lankan endemics. It also offers the visitor to view wild boar, barking deer and other animals. For the more adventurous visitor this is an ideal place to visit as it can be reached only on a walking trail.
